David Phelps, the Gold Medallist in the Men’s Prone at the Commonwealth Games in March, was the best placed of the three British shooters in the Men’s Prone at the ISSF World Cup in Milan.  A score of 591 in very difficult conditions earned the Cardiff shooter 12th place – his highest World Cup placing to date.  Mike Babb, second to Phelps in Melbourne, was one point behind, with 590 for 16th place, while Chris Hector took 34th with 585.

The World Cup circuit for rifle and pistol is now complete, and attention will turn to the forthcoming World Championships, which will be held in Zagreb in late July.
