Due to the extremely high standards expected of all Olympic sports governing bodies by the British Olympic Association and UK Sport, the Great Britain Target Shooting Federation has taken the initiative over the last six months, to undergo a complete review of its’ structure, brand image and profile. This exercise, made us look closely at the details of our Federation. It has been concluded that the sport of shooting needed to be more easily referred to and be much easier to understand by the media. Therefore as of 1st April 2007, the Great Britain Target Shooting Federation will be known as “BRITISH SHOOTING”. Please can all associated bodies, interested parties and individuals amend the databases under their control with the contact information on this sheet with immediate effect. All future contact should be via the attached details and please note that the office at Bisley is manned from 12:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday. With 2012 only just around the corner, we are extremely pleased to announce a further increase in our Pathway funding award by UK Sport for the preparation of our shooting athletes for 2008 and 2012. British Shooting would like to take this opportunity to thank all those at UK Sport for their continued hard work on our behalf and British shooters will do all in their power to bring home medals from Beijing and improve that tally even further in London in 2012.
