Men's Trap Medallists
The British Universities team attending the International Universities Championships in Pilsen, CZE, won three medals on the second day of competition.  Mark Hampton led the way, winning the Men's Trap event.  He entered the final with a qualification round of 113 for a two point lead, and although at times the second placed shooter drew level, Hampton never fell behind and finished the final round with a one point margin.

Women's Trap Medallists
An hour earlier, Hampton's fellow Trap shooter Rachel Parish had won the Bronze in the Women's event.  Parish, a double Commonwealth Games medallist in the Double Trap event in Melbourne earlier this year, is in the process of making the transition from Double Trap to Trap following the removal of the former from the Olympic programme.  She entered her first single-barrel Trap final in third place and remained there throughout.

Women's Prone Team Medallists
The day came to an end with a Bronze medal in the Women's Prone Rifle team event for Emma Sigournay, Heather Rudd and Emma Cole-Hamilton.  Sigournay, who represented GBR in this event at the recent ISSF World Championships, led the way with 588 and 8th place individually, with Heather Rudd two points behind in 9th place.

Earlier in the day, the Women's Air Pistol team of Georgina Geikie, Kathryn Pearson and Jennifer Pearson were unlucky to be placed fourth in their team event.  Georgina and Kathryn both qualified for the individual final - Kathryn with a new Personal Best of 374 - in fifth and eighth place respectively, where they remained after a very close final ten shots.  In the Men's Three Positions event, Graham Rudd was 11th with 1137.

Men's Prone Final
The first day of competition had failed to produce any medals for GBR - the Men's Prone team of Griff Morgan, James Paterson and Graham Rudd frustratingly close in fourth place, with Morgan qualifying for the final in seventh place and unable to improve on this.  Heather Rudd was 21st in the Women's Air Rifle with 387.

The final day of competition saw Graham Rudd take 16th place in the Men's Air Rifle with 584, while Emma Cole-Hamilton and Emma Sigournay were the best placed Britons in the Women's Three Positions with 568 and 567 for 18th and 19th place respectively.
