Elena Little, the World Record Holder in Women's Skeet, today earned a third quota place for the 2008 Olympics for Great Britain. A qualification round of 70 earned her a place in a four-way shoot off the last two places in the final, but she missed out on the final six, ending up in eighth place.

 

The three quota places earned at these World Championships - in Men's Double Trap, Women's Trap and Women's Skeet - represent the best performance by a British team at a major championship in recent memory.  The quest for additional places will recommence in 2007 with the ISSF World Cups and the European Championships the last opportunities.
