The ISCH competition in Hannover, which finished yesterday, produced a number of British Records, Medals and other solid performances from the various British teams attending.

In the Pistol events, the English team won a number of medals.  Mick Gault, Nick Baxter and Iqbal Ubhi won the 50m team event, with Mick winning the individual competition and Nick taking sixth place.  The same trio also took Silver in the Men's Air Pistol team event, with Mick and Iqbal fifth and sixth respectively.  Gorgs Geikie was third in the Women's 25m event, setting a new British Final record of 773.3 in the process, and she also qualified for the final of the Women's Air Pistol, climbing from 8th to 6th.  Hannah Polak completed the haul of Pistol medals, with Gold in the Junior Women's 25m and Silver in the Junior Women's 10m Air Pistol events.  Steve Pengelly of Wales also came close, one point off a medal in the Centre-Fire, with 567 for 4th place.

In the Rifle events, Johanne Brekke of Wales won the Senior Women's Prone event with a fine 596 - just one point off the British (and World) record score, while Kay Copland of Scotland took the Bronze in the Junior Women's Prone with 594.  James Huckle, representing GBR, was a comfortable winner of the Junior Men's Air Rifle - starting the match with three perfect strings of 100 on his way to a qualification round of 593 and an Equal British Final record of 697.2.  Danny Evans of Wales qualified for the final of the Junior Men's Prone, ending up in fifth place, with Dave Phelps of Wales and Ollie Barron of Scotland missing out on the Senior and Junior Men's Prone finals respectively by a single point.  The Scottish team of Dave Caughey, Martin MacGill and Sinclair Bruce also came close in the Senior Men's Prone team event, taking fifth place just three points away from a medal.

With some of the teams returning home, many of the others have a day of training on the excellent Hannover facilities today before heading off to Pilsen in the Czech Republic for the Grand Prix of Liberation next week.
