World Class Performance Pathway rifle shooter Neil Stirton has won the Silver in the Men's Prone at the ISSF World Cup in Munich.  A new Personal Best, and British International Record, of 599 in the qualification round took him into the final in second place, tied with World Champion Sergei Martynov of Belarus, also on 599.  A very close final saw Neil take the lead for the middle section, finally being overhauled by Martynov at the very end by the narrowest of margins, with Warren Potent of Australia moving up from 6th to 3rd.

Neil's final total of 703.2 is also a new British Final record, and an excellent result for the Aberdeen based shooter who recently stepped up to full-time training, and his medal is the first World Cup medal won by a rifle shooters since Mike Babb's Gold in Milan in 2003.
