Men's Prone Team
The British trio of Dave Phelps, Matt Thomson and Neil Stirton took the silver medal in the Men's Prone event at the International Shooting Competition in Hannover today.  With Dave counted out of the final on 595, and Matt just one point behind and Neil on 589, the team earned second place behind Switzerland.

Later in the day, the Welsh team of Johanne Brekke, Frankie Fulgoni and Sophie Shaw took bronze in the Women's Prone team event, with Johanne unfortunately losing out on the individual event on countback despite equalling the British record with 597 - also the current World and European record score - just ahead of double World Champion Olga Dovgun of Kazakhstan on 596.

There were final appearances also for Geri Buckley in the Junior Women's Air Pistol and Robin Honhold of Scotland and Danny Evans of Wales in the Junior Men's Prone.

The highlight of day one of competition had been a new British Record in the Women's 25m Pistol by Gorgs Geikie, raising the mark to 772.4.  Day three finished with a new Personal Best score of 571 for Jenny Corish in the Women's Three Positions event.

Further South in Germany, Sheree Cox added a Silver medal to those won by the Double Trap shooters earlier in the week, recording a score of 592 for second place in the Junior Women's Prone match.

With some of the team returning home, attention now moves to Pilsen where the annual Grand Prix of Liberation commences on Wednesday 8th May.
