Georgina Geikie's preparations for this week's European Championships received a boost at Bisley over the weekend, with a new British Final Record.  A qualification round of 386 in the Senior Women's Championship was a single point off the existing British record, but when combined with an excellent final of 99.6 this exceeded the British Final record shot sixteen years ago by Carol Page.

 

Other excellent performances over the weekend included James Huckle - still a junior by a considerable margin at seventeen - winning the Senior Men's Air Rifle title with a season's best of 587 + 102.7.  A comprehensive report on both the Air Pistol and Air Rifle Championships is available on the NSRA website.
